Activity | Wh/km | Range 80%-> 20% | Range 100-> 10% |
Drive country side | 160 Wh/km | 281 km | 422 km |
Drive motorway 120-130 km/h | 200 Wh/km | 225 km | 337 km |
Drive motorway 140-160 km/h (Germany) | 300 Wh/km | 150 km | 225 km |
Charging 20->80% in a supercharger can take from 11 to 20 minutes depending on the power of the charger.
Charging from 10->100% can take 35 minutes to one full hour.
My preferred routine for long motorway trips is:
- I fully charge at home before leaving
- I drive about 300 km to about 15% of charge
- I then continue with 2-hours cycles
- 1h45 min drive 80->20% for about 225 km,
- 15min charge 20->80% (coffee break, short walk, …)
I find this routine very balanced as frequent breakes allows to stretch and recover.
Driving at 120 km/h average on motorway only, this approach results in the following time
Distance | Time | Real avg speed incl. charge time |
300 km | 2h 30m | 120 km/h |
500 km | 4h 30m | 111 km/h |
700 km | 6h 30m | 108 km/h |
900 km | 8h 30m | 106 km/h |
